Dave Thompson, SNP MSP for Skye, Lochaber and Badenoch was delighted to attend the opening of the new Bun Sgoil Loch Abar Gaelic School in Caol on the 4th of March, 2016, which he described as a fantastic asset for Caol and the surrounding area.
Mr Thompson said, “I was delighted to attend the opening of the new Bun Sgoil Loch Abar Gaelic School.
“The development has been many years in the making. However, from my visit, as I stood near the snowcapped Ben Nevis, seeing for myself the wonderful new building in all its glory, and witnessing the captivated audience, I am confident the wait for opening was well worth it.
“As someone who has four grandchildren currently in Gaelic Medium Education, I know what a fantastic benefit and asset for everyone in Caol and the surrounding area this school will be.
“I wish those attending the school in the future all the best with their studies and good luck in championing the cause of Gaelic in the Highlands”.
