Dave Thompson, SNP MSP for Skye, Lochaber, and Badenoch recently (23/03/16) showed his support for Epilepsy Scotland by wearing a purple ribbon on the last day of session.
Mr. Thompson said, “Epilepsy Scotland’s efforts at improving the lives of those living with epilepsy are efforts I can proudly stand behind. There are 55,000 people throughout Scotland, and over 50 million people worldwide, who are living with this condition and need our support.
“I’m wearing my purple ribbon on the final day of Parliament session to show my support for Epilepsy Scotland, and their actions at reducing the stigma behind epilepsy, providing information on the condition, and improving healthcare for those who live with it.
“This Saturday, March 26th is Purple Day, a day created to raise awareness for epilepsy, and I encourage everyone to show their support similarly by wearing purple. Together we can show those living with this condition that we support them and Epilepsy Scotland.
