Highlands and Islands SNP MSP Dave Thompson is supporting the World's Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday 24th September. It is the 20th year of the event which is run for Macmillan Cancer Support. Dave is keen for the people of the Highlands to get involved with this event so that the goal of £8m UK-wide can possibly be achieved.

Commenting on this, Mr Thompson said: “I am delighted to be holding a coffee morning on Friday for such a worthwhile cause. I would like to invite any of my constituents to drop in for the event in the Boardroom at Thorfin House in Dingwall on Friday 24th of September from 1030 am till 1200 pm.

“Sadly, cancer affects more people every year and so the Macmillan Charity is essential to provide support for all those affected by the illness.

“The Highland Macmillan Advice Team do an admirable job providing information and vital support not only to cancer patients but also to their family and carers.

“I would also like to encourage the people of the Highlands to hold their own coffee morning. It’s a great way to raise money and increase the awareness of the charity. All of the money raised goes to people who really need it.
