Thompson calls for Minister to stop A82 closure

Dave Thompson MSP has written to transport Minister Stewart Stevenson to ask him to intervene to stop the proposed closure of the A82.
Commenting Dave said: "I have asked Stewart Stevenson to use his influence to persuade Transport Scotland to reconsider their plans to close the A82. The A82 is a vital link for Fort William and Lochaber, and its closure would have a major impact on the local economy and the lives of local people. Transport Scotland must be told to think again; and to continue consulting with local people and local businesses in order to find a realistic alternative."
