SNP MSP for Skye, Lochaber and Badenoch, Dave Thompson, has today welcomed the installation of two new disabled parking bays in Kingussie.
Following contact from a constituent, Scotland TranServ has confirmed that Transport Scotland instructed them to install two new disabled parking bays, refurbish a third and refurbish all existing limited waiting parking bays in Kingussie. It was anticipated that, weather permitting, the work was to be completed by Wednesday 11th April.
Commenting on this, Mr Thompson said: “I am delighted that Transport Scotland and Scotland TranServ have stepped up to the mark to ensure that there is sufficient disabled parking within the centre of Kingussie. I am also pleased to see that they have committed to refurbishing all the parking bays within Kingussie to make sure that they are all highly visible and accessible to all.
“Disabled motorists need to have accessible parking and I am very pleased that Transport Scotland have recognised this and committed to providing extra parking bays.
“I look forward to my next visit to Kingussie to see the new bays and the refurbished parking within Kingussie for myself.”
